Lagos historic town centre dates back to the 15th century and offers many Portuguese cafes, a daily fresh fish market, and a mix of traditional restaurants, modern bars and unique shops. The centre is thriving, all year round and for all ages. The town squares are vibrant and full of life, several have sculptures of historical figures such as Dom Sebastiao and Prince Henry the Navigator.
Property within the historical town centre is traditional with pastel coloured walls, hand painted tiles and Juliet balconies, with many homes being beautifully renovated to maximise their architecture. The town centre properties with roof terraces often have a sea view, or a fabulous outlook across Lagos itself.
From the historic town centre, it is a short walk to the Lagos Marina
and one of the smaller Lagos beaches,
Praia da Batata.
